Meet Dr. Robert Watson
Dr. Robert Watson joined the Royal Oak family August 15th, 2016. He is an experienced dentist having served eight years in the US Air Force taking care of the dental needs of military members and their families. Dr. Watson graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2008 and went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in 2009 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. After his residency he was assigned to Misawa Air Base in Northern Japan where he lived for three years, after which the Air Force moved him to RAF Alconbury, a tiny military installation just west of Cambridge , England. He says he is thrilled to be back in America after all those years away, but he will definitely miss authentic Japanese cuisine and British roundabouts. He does admit though it is nice to be driving on the RIGHT side of the road again.
Dr. Watson is originally from Montana where he learned how to say “y’all” and drive a tractor. He attended BYU-Provo where he met his future wife to whom he has been married now for 15 years. Together they have three very talented children who just started 8th, 6th, and 2nd grades. His favorite pastimes are playing board games with his kids (who usually beat him), running (just half marathons), and playing the guitar. He won’t admit it but he used to be on the Folk Dance team in college, which means he knows how to clog.
